Deco Lighting's Bi-Level Induction Parking Luminaire selected by the Illuminating Engineering Society for 2010 Progress Report
The Deco Lighting D511ib Bi-Level Induction Parking luminaire was selected by the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) for their prestigious Progress Report for 2010. The D511ib was chosen as an outstanding innovation in luminaire technology and design, and "represents a unique and significant advancement in the art and science of lighting". The luminaire will be featured in the Progress Report presentation at the IES Annual Conference in Toronto Nov. 8, 2010, at regional IES conferences, and in the Jan. 2011 issue of Lighting Design + Application (LD+A) magazine.
The innovative, patent-pending Deco Lighting D511ib Bi-Level Induction Parking luminaire with integral sensor provides energy savings up to 85% versus conventional fixtures. The luminaire features two 100,000 hour life Induction lamps and a microwave occupancy sensor. The 20 watt lamp provides continuous low level lighting for security, and the higher wattage (40, 60 or 80 watt) main lamp switches on instantly for full illumination when the sensor detects vehicles or people. The compact, low profile D511ib luminaire features a high efficiency polycarbonate refractor lens design for optimum cut-off light distribution, low glare, and an uplight component to eliminate any "cave effect" on ceilings. Optical assembly and electrical housing are fully gasketed to seal out contaminants. The die-cast aluminum housing features a polyester powder coat finish for durability and corrosion resistance, and includes a rapid mount, galvanized steel bracket for standard J-box installation.
